Shilajit Gold+ Capsules by 5 Rivers Nutrition — verified dosage guide for the complete 12-in-1 Ayurvedic formula

Shilajit Dosage Chart: How Much Is Too Much?

In Short

The correct shilajit dose is the verified labelled serving of the exact finished product you own — not a number copied from a study, a forum or another brand. For Shilajit Gold+ Capsules, that is 2 Capsules daily with food. For Shilajit Gold+ Resin, follow the current physical label. Use one format only. Do not combine them. The dose tells you how much of the formula to take. It does not promise what you will feel or when.

Most shilajit dosage articles begin with a broad range — 100mg to 1,000mg — and invite you to choose where you belong based on your body weight, experience level or desired benefit. That approach ignores the finished product.

Shilajit Gold+ Capsules are a complete 12-in-1 formula. The Resin is a complete 6-in-1 formula. Neither is isolated shilajit. Taking more of either product increases every ingredient in the formula — not simply the shilajit content.

Shilajit Gold+ Dosage Chart: Use One Format Only

The table below gives the current product instructions for Shilajit Gold+ Capsules and Resin. It does not provide a personalised medical dose or establish a universal shilajit limit. Always check the current physical label before use — where the label and website differ, the physical label takes priority.

Product or situation Verified serving Complete formula How to take it Do not Stop or check first
Shilajit Gold+ Capsules 2 Capsules daily 12-in-1 serving: 500mg shilajit plus companion botanicals, Zinc and Vitamin B6 Take with food and water at a consistent time Do not exceed 2 daily, double a missed serving or add Resin that day Stop if symptoms worsen. Medication users must show a pharmacist the complete label before starting
Shilajit Gold+ Resin Follow the verified physical label (website wording varies — confirm before use) 6-in-1 serving, not pure isolated shilajit Measure with the supplied tool. Dissolve in warm liquid. Take with food if stomach is sensitive Do not estimate an increasingly large portion, repeat the serving or add Capsules that day Stop if poorly tolerated. Check first where medication or a diagnosed condition is involved
Missed serving No replacement amount Nothing needs to be made up Resume the normal serving on the next appropriate day Do not double the Capsules or take extra Resin Seek advice if several servings were accidentally taken
Owning the Bundle Ownership does not create a combined daily serving Two separately dosed products Select one format for the day Do not assume both products form one daily routine Check the complete formulas with a pharmacist where medicines are involved
No immediate sensation Stay at the labelled serving More product increases every included ingredient Continue only while the normal serving remains appropriate and tolerated Do not increase the amount to chase energy, warmth or focus Stop if an unpleasant reaction develops
Other supplements used Keep the product serving unchanged while reviewing the total stack Ingredients may already appear in other products Compare all supplement labels together Do not count only the shilajit milligrams Ask a pharmacist where there is duplication or uncertainty
Side effects Take no further serving until reviewed The response may relate to the complete formula Retain the packaging and ingredient list Do not keep adjusting or switching formats to test the reaction Seek advice where symptoms are significant, persistent or severe

Read this before using the chart:

  • This chart applies only to the named 5 Rivers Nutrition products.
  • The Capsules are a 12-in-1 formula. The Resin is a 6-in-1 formula.
  • The servings are alternatives — do not routinely add them together.
  • Research doses from other products do not override the label.
  • A labelled serving may still be unsuitable for an individual.
  • Stop if adverse effects occur. Medication users require professional review.

The Simplest Dosage Rule

Use one format, follow one verified serving and count every ingredient. There is a labelled serving. There is not a self-selected performance dose.

What Counts as Too Much Shilajit Gold+?

Human evidence does not establish one universal toxic threshold for every shilajit product. For Shilajit Gold+, "too much" begins when the verified finished-product instruction is exceeded, formulas are stacked or individual safety is ignored.

  • More than 2 Capsules in one day
  • A Resin amount above the verified upper instruction
  • Capsules and Resin taken on the same day
  • Repeated Resin servings
  • Doubling after a missed day
  • Adding another shilajit product
  • Duplicating formula ingredients elsewhere in your supplement stack
  • Continuing despite clear adverse effects
  • Using the product where a medicine or condition makes it unsuitable

Why the Whole Formula Matters

The Capsules contain 500mg shilajit within a 12-in-1 formula including Ashwagandha, Curcumin, Saffron, Black Pepper, Mucuna pruriens, Kali Musli, Safed Musli, Zinc and Vitamin B6. The Resin is a 6-in-1 formula — not pure isolated shilajit. Taking an extra Capsule does not simply increase shilajit. It increases every ingredient in the formula.

1. Research doses used different preparations. A study testing 500mg of a purified single-ingredient extract is not the same as 500mg within a 12-in-1 formula.

2. Supplement stacking is invisible without checking. A customer may already take separate Ashwagandha, turmeric with Black Pepper, Zinc and a multivitamin — and overlook that they are duplicating several ingredients.

3. The fulvic acid percentage is not a serving instruction. Our Eurofins results report 79.22% fulvic acid for the Capsules and 76.74% for the Resin. These figures describe what was measured. They do not tell you to increase the serving.

The defining rule: More Shilajit Gold+ means more of the whole formula — not simply more shilajit. A research dose does not override the label of a multi-ingredient product.

Mātrā: The Ayurvedic Principle of Right Measure

Ayurveda does not treat the largest tolerable amount as the best amount. The classical concept of Mātrā means right measure — the amount appropriate to the substance, the person, the timing and the purpose.

Samyak Mātrā — The Appropriate Measure

The verified labelled serving, one format at a time, no duplication, stopping if the product is not tolerated.

Hīna Mātrā — An Insufficient Amount

Taking less than the labelled serving does not justify doubling later. Too little may make a routine difficult to evaluate, but that does not mean more is automatically better.

Ati Mātrā — An Excessive Amount

In Ayurveda, more medicine is not automatically more therapeutic. Once the appropriate measure is exceeded, the same substance may become burdensome or harmful.

Ayurvedic principle: Ayurveda values Samyak Mātrā — the appropriate measure — not the maximum measure. Observation is part of gradual introduction. Ignoring it defeats the purpose.

Research Doses Are Not Customer Instructions

Published human studies have tested shilajit at various amounts. The variation is a reason to follow the label of the product you actually own — not a reason to choose the highest amount found in a paper.

Study Tested amount Population Appropriate conclusion
Pandit et al. (2016) 500mg daily Healthy men aged 45–55 Hormone outcomes with one purified preparation. Not a universal dose instruction.
Keller et al. (2019) 250mg or 500mg daily Recreationally active young men Some fatigue-related findings favoured 500mg in a subgroup. Not a universal performance dose.
Pingali & Nutalapati (2022) 250mg or 500mg daily Postmenopausal women with osteopenia Bone outcomes in a defined clinical population. Does not establish a dose for general use.
Biswas et al. (2010) 200mg daily Men with oligospermia Preliminary fertility-related findings. Not a fertility dose for Shilajit Gold+.
Gandy et al. (2012) Liquid CHD-fulvic acid Men with atopy Short-term safety of a separate fulvic-acid preparation. Not a Shilajit Gold+ study.

None of these studies tested the complete 5 Rivers Nutrition 12-in-1 Capsules or 6-in-1 Resin.

Safety note: rare cases of liver injury have been associated with Ashwagandha products and turmeric-containing supplements. Stop and seek medical advice if you develop yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, pale stools, severe itching or persistent upper-abdominal pain.

Eight Shilajit Dosage Mistakes in Real Life

1. The Format Stacker

Takes both Capsules and Resin on the same day. They increased exposure to both complete formulas and duplicated nutrients. A study dose is not permission to combine two finished products.

2. The Growing Resin Scoop

Resin portion gradually grows because nothing is felt immediately. A flexible serving still needs a consistent measuring method. Do not allow the portion to grow because the first serving created no obvious sensation.

3. The Day-One Doubter

Expects an immediate stimulant effect, feels nothing after two days and concludes the dose is too low. Not feeling something immediately does not mean the dose is too low. The labelled serving tells you how to use the product — not what you will feel or when.

4. The Hidden-Ingredient Stack

Already takes separate Ashwagandha, turmeric with Black Pepper, Zinc and Vitamin B6 — and only later realises Shilajit Gold+ already contains several of those ingredients. You may be following the label correctly while still duplicating several ingredients elsewhere.

5. The Consistent One-Format User

Chooses one format, follows the verified serving, takes it with food consistently and does not double missed servings. A successful dosage routine is uneventful — not necessarily dramatic.

6. The Detox Misinterpretation

Develops nausea and loose stools. An online comment says this is detoxification. They continue and consider increasing the amount. Observation is part of gradual introduction. Ignoring it defeats the purpose.

7. The Medication Assumption

Takes regular medication and assumes the supplement is safe because it is natural. Plans to separate it from medicine by two hours. A time gap does not prevent every possible interaction. Show a pharmacist the complete ingredient label before starting.

8. The Wrong Format Choice

Chooses Resin because it appears more traditional but measures it inconsistently and frequently overscoops. The best format is the one a suitable customer can use accurately — not the one that appears strongest.

Who Should Not Take Shilajit Gold+?

Definitely Do Not Use

  • During pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Under 18 years of age
  • With a known allergy to any ingredient in the formula

Before Your First Serving

Check Before You Take

  1. Check the current physical label — not only the website.
  2. Choose one format: Capsules or Resin.
  3. Review every ingredient in the complete formula.
  4. Compare your other supplements for duplicated ingredients.
  5. Ask a pharmacist where medication is involved.
  6. Follow the verified serving with food.
  7. Do not double missed servings.
  8. Stop if symptoms worsen and seek advice where needed.

Ready to Choose a Format?

  • Capsules: fixed daily serving, broader 12-in-1 formula.
  • Resin: fewer companion ingredients, requires consistent manual measurement.
  • Neither format should be combined with the other as a routine daily serving.

Review Shilajit Gold+ Capsules →    Review Shilajit Gold+ Resin →

Stop and Seek Advice If:

  • You accidentally took substantially more than the label
  • You combined full servings of both formats
  • You develop a significant or worsening reaction
  • You use medication that has not been reviewed

Seek urgent medical help for: breathing difficulty, swelling of the face, mouth or throat, collapse, severe pain or persistent vomiting.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much shilajit should I take daily?

Follow the verified labelled serving of the exact finished product you own. For Shilajit Gold+ Capsules, that is currently 2 Capsules daily with food. For Shilajit Gold+ Resin, follow the current physical label.

Can I take Shilajit Gold+ Capsules and Resin together?

Do not routinely use full servings of both formats on the same day. Owning the Bundle does not create a combined daily serving. Choose one format for the day.

What happens if I take too much shilajit?

Stop, do not take any more that day, and contact a pharmacist or NHS 111 if concerned. Seek urgent help for breathing difficulty, facial or throat swelling, collapse or severe pain.

I feel nothing after a few days. Should I increase the dose?

No. An immediate sensation is not a dosage guide. The labelled serving tells you how to use the product — it does not promise what you will feel or when.

What if I miss a day?

Do not double the next serving. Resume the normal labelled routine on the next appropriate day.

Does body weight change the shilajit dose?

No. Shilajit Gold+ is not dosed according to body weight. The verified label applies to suitable adults regardless of size or activity level.

Is shilajit safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

No. Shilajit Gold+ is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Both formulas contain Ashwagandha, which current guidance advises avoiding during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Can I take shilajit with my medication?

Do not assume compatibility. Show a pharmacist the complete Shilajit Gold+ ingredient label before starting. Do not stop or alter prescribed medication to make room for a supplement.
