Shilajit and Testosterone: What the Evidence Actually Shows
In short: One small controlled study of a purified Shilajit preparation reported changes in testosterone in healthy middle-aged men after 90 days. That does not establish that Shilajit Gold+ boosts testosterone, treats low testosterone or is appropriate for fertility or sexual-health concerns.
What the study can and cannot tell us
A study result applies to the participants, preparation and dose that were studied. It cannot automatically be transferred to a different multi-ingredient food supplement, to everyone who takes it, or to people with a medical reason for low testosterone.
When to seek medical advice
Symptoms such as reduced libido, erectile difficulties, infertility, marked fatigue or changes in mood can have many causes. A GP can assess whether testing or treatment is appropriate. Do not use a supplement instead of assessment or prescribed care.
Ayurvedic context
Shilajit is traditionally discussed as a Rasayana, linked to vitality and resilience in Ayurvedic practice. Traditional use should not be presented as modern hormonal proof.
Choosing a product responsibly
For product information, check the declared ingredients and serving guidance. If laboratory evidence matters to you, read the report context and analytes rather than treating a result as a general health claim.
