Lab Testing

A clear look at how we verify purity, potency and safety before anything reaches you.
Why shilajit needs lab testing
Shilajit is a natural material collected from high mountain rock. Nature gives it valuable minerals and organic acids, but that same origin means careful testing is essential.
- Identity and authenticity: Confirms the material is genuine shilajit and not diluted or adulterated.
- Potency: Measures fulvic related compounds so you know the product is strong and consistent from batch to batch.
- Safety: Screens for heavy metals that can occur in natural materials.
- Confidence: Provides independent proof that our purification and quality controls are effective.
Who Eurofins are
Eurofins is a global network of independent laboratories that test food, supplements and botanicals. Their laboratories operate to ISO 17025 accreditation, which means methods are validated, instruments are calibrated and results are reported under strict quality systems. We work with Eurofins Analytical Services India for our routine batch testing.
Why we chose Eurofins
- Independence: An external laboratory confirms our results.
- Accredited methods: Testing follows validated procedures suitable for food supplements.
- Sensitivity: Modern instrumentation measures trace levels down to very low milligrams per kilogram.
- Clear documentation: Each report includes method references, detection limits and sign off.
- Experience with botanicals: Regular work on herbal and mineral ingredients supports reliable, repeatable data.
What we test in every batch
- Fulvic acid content – the headline potency marker for authentic shilajit.
- Heavy metals – lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic reported in mg per kg.
- When needed – microbiology, identity profiling and checks for common adulterants.
Our latest results
We publish certificates so you can see the numbers for yourself. The examples below reflect recent production.

| Analyte | Result |
|---|---|
| Fulvic acid | 79.22 g per 100 g |
| Lead | 0.63 mg per kg |
| Cadmium | 0.02 mg per kg |
| Mercury | < 0.01 mg per kg |
| Arsenic | 0.94 mg per kg |

Shilajit Gold Resin
| Analyte | Result |
|---|---|
| Fulvic acid | 76.74 g per 100 g |
| Lead | 0.66 mg per kg |
| Cadmium | 0.02 mg per kg |
| Mercury | < 0.01 mg per kg |
| Arsenic | 0.64 mg per kg |
How to read these numbers
- Fulvic acid: Levels between seventy six and seventy nine per cent indicate a high concentration of the characteristic compounds found in authentic shilajit.
- Lead and cadmium: Both are well below the European Union maximum of 3 mg per kg for food supplements.
- Mercury: Measured below 0.10 mg per kg, which is the European Union maximum for food supplements. Our results are below the laboratory reporting limit.
- Arsenic: There is no single specific European Union maximum for total arsenic in supplements. Our values are low and below 1 mg per kg, which is lower than the 3 mg per kg limit used for lead and cadmium in supplements and lower than the 0.5 mg per kg limit used for some staple foods such as rice. We continue to monitor and minimise arsenic through sourcing and purification.
The products are potent, authentic and safely within or below recognised European benchmarks for heavy metals.
What this means for our products- Purity you can trust: Water purification and multi stage filtration remove unwanted material without harsh solvents.
- Potency you can feel: High fulvic values show the resin and capsules retain their natural strength.
-
Consistency over time: Routine testing keeps each batch aligned with our specification.
