Shilajit and Shilajit Gold+ – Frequently Asked Questions

What is shilajit?

Shilajit is a natural resin that forms in high mountain rock over very long periods as plant matter slowly breaks down. When collected and purified it becomes a dark, resinous substance that dissolves in warm water or milk. It naturally contains fulvic compounds, humic substances and a broad spectrum of trace minerals.

How is shilajit used in Ayurveda?

In Ayurveda, shilajit is described as a rasayana, a category linked with everyday rejuvenation and balance. It has been traditionally used in small daily amounts as part of a simple routine. This cultural context is informative but it does not replace modern quality standards or medical advice.

What is fulvic acid and why does it matter?

Fulvic acid is a family of small organic compounds that occur in soils and mountain environments. In shilajit, a meaningful fulvic profile is a sign of concentration and authenticity. Fulvic compounds are part of the natural matrix of shilajit alongside humic substances and trace minerals.

What are the potential benefits of shilajit?

Shilajit is taken by many adults who want a natural, mineral rich supplement to support their general routine. Based on traditional use and emerging research, shilajit may support everyday vitality and resilience as part of a healthy lifestyle. As a food supplement it is not intended to treat or prevent disease. Results vary person to person.

Who can use shilajit?

Purified, lab tested shilajit is intended for healthy adults. It is not intended for children. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition or take medication, speak to a health professional before use.

What is the difference between shilajit resin and capsules?

Resin is the classic format that you dissolve in a warm drink. Capsules provide a measured daily serving with no taste step. Both should be purified and tested. Many people choose one format for daily use and the other for flexibility on busy days.

How do I take your Shilajit Gold plus resin and capsules?

Follow the label.
Capsules: take two daily with food.
Resin: dissolve a small serving in warm water, milk or tea once daily. Start with a smaller amount and adjust to your routine.
Consistency matters more than timing.

Can I use resin and capsules together?

Yes, but you do not need to. If you choose to use both on the same day, keep the total daily amount sensible by starting with smaller portions. Many customers alternate by day.

How strong is your shilajit and what is the fulvic profile?

Shilajit Gold plus is made with high fulvic shilajit in both formats. Our capsule blend and our resin are batch tested and the fulvic profile is shown on the certificate for each lot. We publish these reports so you can see the numbers.

Is your shilajit independently tested?

Yes. Every batch is tested by an independent laboratory for identity markers, fulvic profile and heavy metals to recognised limits. We use an accredited network with ISO 17025 capability and we publish the certificates for each batch.

Does shilajit contain heavy metals?

Authentic shilajit is a natural material collected from rock, so responsible producers purify and test it. Our products are screened for lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic to recognised limits and results are shown on the batch certificates.

What makes Shilajit Gold+ different from standard shilajit?

We start with high fulvic shilajit and keep the formula clear and purposeful.
Two formats: a twelve in one capsule and a six in one resin
Focused Ayurvedic set: ashwagandha, turmeric extract, saffron, musli, tribulus and mucuna chosen for balance rather than stimulant effect
Authorised claims on label: the capsule includes zinc and vitamin B6 at qualifying amounts
Independent certificates: batch reports published and linked by code
No unnecessary fillers: no artificial acids and no synthetic flavour systems

Why do you include zinc and vitamin B6 in the capsule if they are not Ayurvedic herbs?

Zinc and vitamin B6 provide clear, authorised nutrition and health claims when delivered at qualifying amounts and they complement a daily routine.

Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels, to normal fertility and reproduction, to normal immune function, and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy yielding metabolism, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to normal psychological function, and to the regulation of hormonal activity.

These statements are authorised for foods in Great Britain. They add clarity and certainty to the capsule label while we keep the botanical profile aligned to Ayurveda.

Why do you avoid non Ayurvedic trend mixes?

We keep the core strong and the label clear. Adding unrelated trends such as mushroom blends, sea moss and synthetic acids can dilute the shilajit serving and complicate identity and testing. By focusing on a defined Ayurvedic set and standardised extracts we protect dose integrity and consistency from batch to batch.

Is Shilajit Gold+ vegan and suitable for other diets?

Our resin is shilajit extract. Our capsules use a vegetable cellulose shell. We do not add animal ingredients. There are no artificial colours or flavours. Always check the label for the most current specification.

Can I take shilajit every day and when is the best time?

Yes, use daily as directed on the label. Many people prefer morning or early afternoon and take it with food. If you are new to shilajit, start small and build to a full serving as you find your rhythm.

How should I store shilajit?

Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep lids closed between uses. Resin may become firmer in cold weather; allow it to warm to room temperature before serving.

Where can I see your lab reports?

We publish batch certificates for both formats. Check the batch code on your label and download the matching certificate from our lab reports page.
