Our Manufacturing Process
We work with a manufacturing partner for our Shilajit products. The process information below describes the production steps shared with us; the evidence available for a particular product or batch is set out separately on the Lab Testing page.
How our Shilajit resin is processed
- Sourcing: Raw Shilajit resin is collected from the Himalayan region.
- Washing and filtration: Multiple stages remove impurities such as sand and grit.
- Purification: Traditional Ayurvedic purification techniques are used alongside modern hygiene standards.
- Concentration: The material is slowly concentrated at low temperatures.
- Quality control: The manufacturing information shared with us describes batch testing for purity, heavy metals, microbial safety and fulvic-acid content.
- Packaging: The finished resin is packed in jars and labelled for sale.
How our Capsules are made
- Ingredient sourcing: Herbs and nutraceutical ingredients are sourced from suppliers.
- Blending and formulation: Ingredients are measured and blended for the declared formula.
- Encapsulation: The blend is filled into vegetarian HPMC capsules for our vegan Capsules product.
- Quality checks: The manufacturing information shared with us describes checks for capsule weight, disintegration and microbial levels.
- Polishing and inspection: Capsules are polished and inspected, with defective capsules removed.
- Packing and labelling: Capsules are packed and labelled for sale.
What these process details establish
A description of manufacturing steps is not a clinical study and does not prove a health effect. A manufacturer batch record and an independent laboratory report are different documents. Eurofins reports available for the current product batches describe current product batchs and the specific tests listed in each report; they correspond to the current Capsules and Resin batches used in products sold by 5 Rivers Nutrition.

Choosing between formats
Gold+ Capsules and Resin are different formulas with different serving directions. Follow the label for the format you choose and do not combine full servings. See Capsules vs Resin for the comparison.
