Shilajit Price: Why It Varies and How to Compare Value
In short: Price alone does not tell you whether a Shilajit product is a good choice. Compare the labelled serving, full ingredient list, format and published laboratory documentation before deciding.

Compare the label, not just the shelf price
Two products can look similar while giving very different amounts per labelled serving, using different formats, or disclosing different formulas. A sensible comparison starts with the label:
- the stated serving size and number of servings;
- the full ingredient list and quantities where disclosed;
- whether the product is resin, capsules or another format;
- what laboratory documentation is actually published and what sample it relates to; and
- delivery, returns and subscription terms that apply at the time of purchase.
If a product does not state a serving size or list its ingredients clearly, it is difficult to compare fairly.
Why the raw material and process can vary
Shilajit is a naturally occurring mineral-rich material rather than a farmed crop. How it is sourced, processed and documented can vary considerably between products. Raw material is not the same as a finished supplement, so look for a transparent explanation of the finished format and the label rather than relying on generic claims about origin.
Read Raw Shilajit vs. Processed: Which Is Better? for a practical comparison of the terms commonly used online.
How to read laboratory documentation
A published report can be useful when it identifies what was measured and the sample it covers. 5 Rivers publishes Eurofins reports for the current product batches. They report results for those identified product batches, including the heavy-metal measurements shown and reported fulvic-acid results where applicable.
That is useful evidence to consider alongside the product label. The reports cover the identified current product batches; they do not mean each unit was separately analysed or predict an individual outcome. A report should be read for its stated sample, methods and measurements.
Compare formats and labelled servings
- Capsules: 60 vegan capsules and approximately 30 labelled daily servings. The labelled two-capsule daily serving provides 400 mg of Shilajit extract in total, within a disclosed formula of 11 active ingredients plus a vegetable-cellulose capsule shell.
- Resin: a 20 g jar and approximately 40 labelled servings. The labelled 500 mg serving is the complete six-ingredient formula, including 300 mg Shilajit alongside the other disclosed ingredients.
- Bundle: provides both formats to try separately. It is not a direction to combine full servings.

Worked example, one-time prices checked 18 October 2026: At £19.99 for 60 Capsules and 30 labelled servings, the cost is about 67p per labelled serving (£19.99 ÷ 30). At £19.99 for a 20 g Resin jar and approximately 40 labelled 500 mg servings, it is about 50p per serving (£19.99 ÷ 40). This compares the listed cost per serving only. The formulas and serving sizes differ; the arithmetic says nothing about strength, quality or effectiveness. Prices and subscription offers can change, so check each product page before buying.
Questions worth asking before you buy
- Can I see the current label and full ingredient disclosure?
- Does the serving size make sense for the format?
- Is laboratory documentation available to read, with its sample clearly described?
- Are the product, delivery and returns details clear?
Price can be one part of the decision, but it should not replace these checks. If you are comparing 5 Rivers Capsules, see how they are made and quality checked.
Safety
Follow the label and read the full ingredient list before purchase. Seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before using a supplement if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take medication, have a medical condition, or are unsure whether it is appropriate for you.
