Shilajit & Sport: Performance, Recovery & Endurance

In short: Shilajit should not be presented as a proven sports-performance product. Research on particular Shilajit preparations cannot predict what an athlete will experience with a different multi-ingredient formula. If you compete under anti-doping rules, check the requirements of your own sport and seek qualified advice before using any supplement.

What the research can and cannot answer

Some studies have examined particular standardised Shilajit preparations in defined groups and time periods. That does not make the findings interchangeable with Gold+ Capsules or Resin, and it does not establish an individual performance, recovery or body-composition outcome.

Traditional Ayurvedic context can help explain why Shilajit has long been discussed as a rasayana, a broad traditional category. It is not clinical proof for a sports claim.

If you are considering a product

Start with the label, not a performance target. Gold+ Capsules provide 400 mg of Shilajit extract in the labelled two-capsule daily serving. Gold+ Resin provides a labelled 500 mg serving of the complete six-ingredient formula, including 300 mg of Shilajit extract. They are separate routines and should not be combined as full daily servings.

Each formula includes multiple ingredients. Check the full disclosure and consider medication, allergies and individual suitability before use.

Competing and anti-doping rules

5 Rivers Nutrition does not make an anti-doping approval claim for these products. Rules, testing programmes and individual risk assessments vary by sport and jurisdiction. Speak to your governing body or an appropriately qualified sports-health professional if this is relevant to you.

Product evidence

Eurofins analytical reports are available for submitted Capsules and Resin samples. These reports describe the samples analysed; they do not establish every-batch results, sports suitability or a performance outcome.

Review format and ingredients first

Compare the product formats and read the ingredient disclosures before deciding whether either fits your routine.

For the exact ingredients, serving guidance and warnings, review the product pages rather than relying on performance expectations.
