Shilajit Gold+ FAQ

Shilajit Gold+ — Eurofins lab-tested, 76–79% fulvic acid

About Shilajit & Our Products

What is Shilajit?

Shilajit is a mineral-rich resin from high-altitude Himalayan rocks, used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 3,000 years. Its primary active compound is fulvic acid, which supports cellular energy, mineral absorption, and overall vitality. Learn more →

What is the fulvic acid content of your products?

Our Capsules contain 79.22% fulvic acid (Eurofins report AR-258-2025-20051564-01) and our Resin contains 76.74% fulvic acid (Eurofins report AR-258-2025-20051565-01). View certificates →

Are your products vegan?

Yes. Both capsules and resin are 100% vegan. Our capsules use plant-based cellulose shells. No animal derivatives, gelatine, or dairy.

Where is your Shilajit sourced?

High-altitude Himalayan rock faces above 3,000m, purified via a traditional water-based 8-step process in a GMP-certified facility in India. See manufacturing process →

Dosage & Usage

How do I take the capsules?

Take 2 capsules daily with food, preferably in the morning. Consistent daily use yields the best results. Full dosage guide →

How do I take the resin?

Dissolve a pea-sized amount (300–500mg) in warm — not boiling — water, tea, or milk. Use a wooden or plastic spoon; avoid metal utensils. Full dosage guide →

How long until I see results?

Most users notice improved energy within 2–4 weeks. Hormonal and cognitive benefits typically emerge at 8–12 weeks of consistent daily use (Pandit et al., 2016; Keller et al., 2019).

Should I cycle Shilajit?

No clinical evidence requires cycling. A 91-day safety study (Velmurugan et al., 2012) found no adverse effects with continuous daily use.

Best Time to Take Shilajit

What is the best time of day to take Shilajit?

Morning (6–10am) is optimal for most people. Taking Shilajit with breakfast or a warm drink supports energy and mental clarity throughout the day. Avoid taking it after 3pm as its energising properties may interfere with sleep for some users. Read the full guide →

Can I take Shilajit before bed?

It's generally not recommended. Shilajit supports energy production and may be stimulating for some people. Morning or early afternoon is preferred. If you're sensitive to stimulants, stick to morning use. More on timing →

Should I take Shilajit with food or on an empty stomach?

Either works. Capsules are best taken with food to support absorption and reduce any chance of stomach sensitivity. Resin can be taken on an empty stomach dissolved in warm water, or with food — both are effective.

Shilajit for Gym & Training

Can I use Shilajit to support my training?

Yes. Shilajit is used by many active adults to support energy, endurance, and recovery. Fulvic acid supports mitochondrial ATP production, which underpins physical performance. A 2019 clinical study (Keller et al.) found that Shilajit supplementation helped maintain muscle strength and reduce fatigue in active men. Read our Sport & Performance guide →

When should I take Shilajit if I train in the morning?

Take your capsules or resin 30–60 minutes before your session with a light meal or warm drink. This allows the fulvic acid to begin supporting cellular energy before you train.

Does Shilajit help with recovery?

Shilajit's mineral content and fulvic acid may support post-exercise recovery by aiding mineral replenishment and reducing oxidative stress. Our 12-in-1 Capsules also include Curcumin, which has well-documented anti-inflammatory properties. Full recovery guide →

Safety & Suitability

Is Shilajit safe to take daily?

Yes. A 91-day clinical safety study (Velmurugan et al., 2012) found no adverse effects on liver function, kidney function, or blood markers with daily purified Shilajit use. Further safety data is available via the UK Food Standards Agency.

Are there any side effects?

Purified, lab-tested Shilajit is well-tolerated by most adults. A small number of people may experience mild digestive sensitivity when starting — this typically resolves within a few days. Always start with the recommended dose. Unpurified or low-quality Shilajit carries a risk of heavy metal contamination — our products are Eurofins-tested for arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury every batch. Full side effects guide →

Who should not take Shilajit?

Not recommended for: pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with haemochromatosis (iron overload), active kidney disease, gout, or children. Consult your GP if on prescription medication.

Can women take Shilajit?

Yes — Shilajit is suitable for adult women. It supports energy, hormonal balance, bone health, and skin health. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Read our full Women's guide →

Is Shilajit legal in the UK?

Yes — sold legally as a food supplement under the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated by the FSA. Read our legal guide →

Capsules vs Resin — Which Should I Choose?

What is the difference between the capsules and the resin?

The 12-in-1 Capsules include 11 additional Ayurvedic botanicals (Ashwagandha, Saffron, Curcumin and more) — ideal if you want a comprehensive daily supplement in one step. The 6-in-1 Resin is the traditional format dissolved in warm water or milk — ideal if you prefer a ritual-based approach or want pure Shilajit with fewer additions. Both are Eurofins-verified. Full comparison →

Can I take both capsules and resin?

Yes — and our Bundle is designed for exactly this. Many customers use the Capsules daily for convenience and the Resin as a morning ritual or pre-workout. The Bundle saves £5 and gives you both formats to find what works best for you. See the Bundle →

I'm not sure which format to start with — what do you recommend?

If you're new to Shilajit and want simplicity, start with the Capsules. If you're drawn to the traditional experience and don't mind a small daily ritual, try the Resin. If you're unsure, the Bundle is the best way to experience both and save £5 in the process.

Not Sure Which Format Is Right for You?

Try both and save £5 with the Shilajit Gold+ Bundle.
